Twojeys Review UK 2026: Worth the Hype?

Commercial Review

£119 for a chunky ring is a lot of money for a piece of plated stainless steel.

Gold cross necklace worn shirtless at the beach, the Twojeys summer look

The Monrich Team · 8 min read · 2026/09

That’s the central tension of the Twojeys review. The brand has built a cult following on aesthetic alone. The pieces are visually distinctive enough that you can spot a Twojeys ring from across a bar. The proportions are deliberately oversized. The design language is unmistakable.

But proportions and design language are the upper half of the value equation. The lower half, plating quality, manufacturing tolerance, lifespan, is where Instagram premium starts to wobble. So I bought two pieces, wore them for five months, and came back to write this with answers instead of opinions.

Section 01

Quick verdict

Twojeys is style-first jewellery. The designs are distinctive and on-trend, the pieces feel substantial, the brand image is sharp. For buyers who want statement pieces with a Mediterranean / Barcelona-leaning aesthetic, Twojeys is one of the most identifiable options.

What holds them back: prices are 30-50% above UK mid-tier average, plating quality is mid-tier (electroplating, not declared PVD), and the UK customer experience involves Spanish shipping and longer returns. For sheer design value the price can work. For long-term wear value, the math is harder.

Section 02

Who is Twojeys?

Twojeys was founded in Barcelona around 2020 by two friends. The name is a wordplay on “two of us”. The aesthetic is chunky, slightly maximalist, pulling from 70s and 80s European men’s accessories with a modern twist. Rings are oversized, chains are heavy, pendants are statement.

Quick facts:

  • Founded: ~2020
  • HQ: Barcelona, Spain
  • Manufacturing: mostly Asia, some Spain for select pieces
  • Price range: £60-400 (most £80-200)
  • Categories: rings (their strongest), chains, bracelets, pendants
  • Materials: 316L stainless steel, 18K gold plated, some sterling silver
  • Audience: men 22-35, fashion-forward, Mediterranean leaning

Twojeys is best known for chunky signet-style rings and bracelets with distinct visual identity. You can usually spot a Twojeys piece because of the oversized proportions.

Section 03

The two pieces I tested

Collection of gold pendants held in hand

Saturno Ring

A chunky band ring with a flat top and slightly textured surface. £119.

First impressions: the ring is heavier than most “fashion” rings, almost watch-like in feel. The proportions are deliberately oversized for the men’s category, which gives it that distinct Twojeys look. Sizing runs slightly large.

Mariner Chain Bracelet

7.5 inch chain bracelet with mariner links, gold plated. £135.

First impressions: the link design is the signature. Each link is a chunky oval with a horizontal bar, which gives the bracelet a more structured / nautical feel than a basic curb chain. Polish is mirror.

Total spend: £254 across two pieces.

Section 04

Materials and quality

Twojeys uses 316L stainless steel base with 18K gold plating on their main range, plus some sterling silver pieces. Like most brands in this category, they do not declare plating thickness or process publicly.

Twojeys does not publish plating thickness publicly. Most UK and EU D2C brands at this tier use standard electroplating in the 0.3-0.5 micron range rather than PVD. Customers who want a published micron spec should compare each brand directly.

What sets Twojeys apart is not the plating quality but the design / shaping execution. The pieces are well-forged and well-polished. The proportions are intentional, the shapes hold up to close inspection. That’s where the price premium goes.

Saturno Ring

The chunky band sits well on the hand and the finish is even out of the box. As with any plated ring, the underside (constant skin contact) and the band edge (typing friction against an adjacent finger) are the first surfaces to age cosmetically. Sterling-silver or PVD-plated rings live on different timelines on these same wear points.

Mariner Bracelet

The mariner link is structurally well-built and the polish is mirror out of the box. The link joints are the friction points on any chain bracelet, where plated coatings reveal time first. Bracelets with thicker PVD coats sit longer at this wear stage.

Context: standard electroplating across the UK and EU D2C category typically holds finish for a few months of intensive daily wear before edges and friction points begin to show. PVD-plated 316L at 1-2 microns extends this window meaningfully.

The piece that looks the part on day one and the piece that holds up at month six are rarely the same piece.
Section 06

Pricing

Twojeys sits 20-40% above UK mid-tier average:

The premium reflects design distinctiveness and brand positioning. Buyers cross-shopping on plating spec rather than design should compare published micron thicknesses across brands directly.

Piece Twojeys UK mid-tier PVD declared (Monrich-tier)
Chunky ring £119-160 £75-100 £60-90 (with BOGO: £30-45 per piece)
Chain bracelet £135-180 £55-90 £45-80
Statement pendant £85-180 £45-90 £35-75

Section 07

Shipping and returns

Twojeys ships from Spain, which affects UK delivery and post-Brexit customs.

  • UK shipping: typically 4-8 working days. Free over a threshold (varies by promotion).
  • Customs: post-Brexit, EU orders to the UK can incur 20% VAT on import + handling fees (£3-8 from carrier). Twojeys sometimes pre-pays customs for UK orders, check at checkout.
  • Returns: 30 days, you pay the return shipping to Spain.
  • Refunds: processed 7-14 days after receipt.

Compared to a UK-based brand like Monrich (free shipping over £50, no customs, no import fees), Twojeys’s UK customer experience involves more friction.

Section 08

Twojeys makes sense if you:

  • Want statement chunky pieces with strong design identity
  • Lean into Mediterranean / Barcelona / 70s-80s revival aesthetics
  • Are willing to pay a 20-40% premium for design distinctiveness
  • Don’t mind 4-8 day shipping from Spain and possible customs

Frequently asked questions

Does Twojeys publish plating thickness?

No. Twojeys uses 18K gold electroplating on 316L stainless steel but does not publish micron thickness on product pages. Buyers who want a declared plating spec with a written tarnish guarantee can compare Monrich (1-2 microns PVD, 12-month tarnish guarantee) directly.

Is Twojeys real gold?

No. The pieces are gold-plated stainless steel, not solid gold. The plating thickness is not publicly declared.

Is Twojeys worth the price?

For design distinctiveness and the Mediterranean aesthetic, the premium is reasonable if that style is what you want. Buyers cross-shopping on pure price-per-year of wear should compare published plating specs across brands (Monrich publishes 1-2 micron PVD with a 12-month tarnish guarantee at lower entry prices).

Can you shower with Twojeys jewellery?

Standard electroplated jewellery generally lives longer when you keep it dry. For pieces designed to be worn in the shower and gym without that trade-off, PVD-plated 316L is the more durable category. Monrich publishes the PVD spec and backs the pieces with a 12-month tarnish guarantee.

What's the best Twojeys alternative for UK buyers?

For declared PVD with UK shipping and BOGO: Monrich. For premium minimal Italian craft: Le Gramme. For UK mid-tier with similar prices but different aesthetic: Craftd London, Cernucci.
